Mesotherapy – the enrichment of skin with active ingredients

Creams are absorbed by the outer layers of our skin alone. During mesotherapy, a solution containing active ingredients – vitamins, minerals and microelements, which rejuvenate the skin and improve complexion – are taken into the deeper layers of the skin by way of tiny injections.
The effect of mesotherapy: slows down the skin’s aging process, smoothes out small wrinkles, improves complexion, and reduces pores and oil secretion.
Contraindications: blood coagulation disorders, collagen synthesis disorders, benign and malignant tumours, autoimmune diseases and allergies. The procedure is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, and for those under the age of 16. Sunbathing is also not recommended a few weeks before and after the procedure.

Placement of meso threads – a non-surgical facelift

The initial idea of this procedure has been adopted from Oriental acupuncture treatment. Meso threads are bioresorptive (naturally dissolving) supportive threads, which are inserted into the skin with tiny needles. The procedure is carried out using local anaesthesia.
Advantages of meso threads: improvement of skin quality and tightness in all age groups; works as an anti-aging procedure, especially for delicate aging skin with fine lines; supports the basic frame of the face; tightens the face contours; reduces deep wrinkles such as the nasolabial fold, forehead wrinkles, the lacrimal groove, lines around the lips; also used to tighten the neck and neckline.
The effect of meso threads: meso threads stimulate the formation of collagen; recover natural lymph drainage; relax mimic wrinkles; fill and smooth out fine lines; tighten the basic frame of the face along with the facial contours. Meso threads dissolve in the skin naturally in about half a year. During this time, a layer of collagen fibre is formed around them, the effect of which lasts about 1.5 to 2 years.
Contraindications: blood coagulation and collagen synthesis disorders, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, skin inflammation, benign and malignant tumours, blood disorders, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Platelet-Rich plasma Injections – biological tissue regeneration

Blood plasma therapy has been used for over 20 years in the beauty industry, and for more than 30 years in Swiss medicine. For many years, plasma therapy has been successfully used in aesthetic surgery, laser therapy, treating chronic ulcers, in sports medicine and as intra-articular injections in orthopaedics. The use of platelet restoration therapy (PRP) in beauty treatment is still a new procedure in Estonia. The Kalev Spa Beauty Centre is proud to be one of the first to offer PRP.
Human blood is enormously rich in beneficial ingredients. Thrombocytes or platelets drawn from the venous blood are separated by centrifuging, and injected into the microcirculation under the skin. There they have a restorative and rejuvenating effect. The procedure uses only each person’s personal blood, which unlike many other substances used in beauty injections, is completely biological.
The effect of PRP: a rejuvenating and restorative effect in the injected area.
Contraindications: autoimmune diseases; oncological problems; depression; diabetes; allergies, pregnancy and breastfeeding, under 16 years of age. Clients are instructed not to take antibiotics and painkillers two weeks prior to the procedure, as they inhibit platelet activity. Clients are also advised not to take blood-thinning supplements, nor consume alcohol. Due to the fact that a mild irritation may result from the injections, we recommend you not to schedule any events that would require make-up. Sunbathing is also discouraged a few weeks before and after the procedure.
